Marysa Theiler — Founder/Owner and Master Trainer
Marysa began dancing in Christchurch at six years of age and has more than 10 years of professional dancing experience. She graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance in 2002, securing a contract with the Royal New Zealand Ballet where she was a member for seven years, performing Corp and Soloist roles.

Charlotte Rose - Master Trainer and Senior Instructor - On Maternity Leave until February 2021
Hailing from London, we are honoured to have Charlotte join the Barrefigure team. She has worked as a professional dancer for over 12 years travelling around the world and has worked alongside many artists in music videos, tours, television and the West End.

Jessica Mandella - Senior Instructor
Jessica has been dancing since the age of three. She danced with Carnival Cruises in the US and performed and taught in London and Australia doing corporate events, dance dvds and tv commercials.
Jess was a Barrefigure client first and when Marysa approached her to teach at Barrefigure, she jumped at the chance and completed the 5 month in-house training programme in 2015. Jess’ friendly personality will help you get through the tough sections in class and she loves motivating clients to reach their best and help them find their inner strength. Jess also became a proud mother of son, Rocco in January 2018.

Genevieve Ali - Instructor - Substitute Instructor
Genevieve is trained in ballet, jazz and hip hop and has been dancing since the age of 3. She is currently a professional dancer for the Candy Lane Dance Company and has been for the last 8 years where she performed in corporate events, modelling shows, TV Shows (Stars in their Eyes and Dancing with the Stars), promotional events, fashion shows and much more.

Louisa Hutchinson - Instructor
Louisa started dancing at the age of four in Auckland, training in ballet, jazz and contemporary. At age 16, she left New Zealand for London where she trained professionally and graduated from the prestigious, English National Ballet School and performed at the Royal Festival Hall.
Barre is in the family: her mum is a regular at Barrefigure, and her sister teaches at the London studio where Marysa and Charlotte previously taught. Louisa has been a client since 2015, loving the class atmosphere and how quickly she felt results. She is thrilled to join the team at Barrefigure after completing teacher training with Marysa and Charlotte, and is looking forward to helping clients love the shake and burn!

Amelia Hutchinson - Instructor
Amelia has resided in London for the last 8 years and when London went into lockdown because of the Covid pandemic, she boarded a plane the very same day and returned home to Auckland. The timing couldn't have been more perfect for us, as we convinced her to stay and cover Charlotte's maternity leave.
Amelia trained at The Australian Ballet School then joined Dance Company PROJECTion touring Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. She has also performed with the English National Ballet. Whilst in London she also teaches ballet, is a certified personal trainer and a STOTT Pilates trained instructor.
She is a tough cookie and her classes are challenging and fun and we are very excited to have Amelia join our team!

Kit Reilly - Instructor
Kit is a contemporary dancer/ choreographer and music composer.
He started dancing at 7 yrs of age and in 2018 he graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance majoring in Contemporary Dance.
In 2018 Kit began to create his first full length choreographic work ‘Utopia #9’ featuring a self composed music score and it premiered at Tempo Dance Festival in October 2019.
Kit completed his Barrefigure training in November 2019 and is excited to bring his “calm assassin” style to classes while encouraging and motivating all the clients to push to new limits in his classes!

Bella Wilson - Instructor
Bella began dancing from a young age, training in ballet, contemporary and jazz. She is a contemporary dance graduate of the New Zealand School of Dance (2013) and Unitec (2016), and now works professionally as an independent dancer, choreographer and teacher on various projects in Auckland. She co-founded Dance Plant Collective in 2016, and has since worked as both a dancer and choreographer on every major project with the collective.
Bella joined the Barrefigure team in May 2018, after completing the 5 month in-house Barrefigure teacher trainee programme with Charlotte and Marysa. She loves motivating others to reach their potential, and we can guarantee she will push you to your limits!

Sarah Dunning - Yin Instructor
Sarah is a 300 hour certified yoga teacher who adores unwinding at the end of the day with gentle stretch and yin classes.
She studied with with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee, NY, USA for her advanced 100 hour yoga teacher training. Her original 200 hour training was completed with the delightful Shannon Ball and Anne Ethier at the Athens Yoga Institute, GA, USA.
